ABOUT
TEXTS IN AUDIO: GOOD VALUES, GOOD AUDIO
|
You have questions, we have answers.
|
-
How can we know that our audiobook will be any good?
-
I want to release the audiobook at the same time as the print
edition. Can you accommodate this?
-
How long
will it take you to complete my audiobook?
-
How do
you deal with graphical material such as photos, tables, charts,
graphs, and diagrams?
-
Can I
get an accurate cost estimate for my textbook-to-audiobook project?
-
We want
to convert several of our textbooks into audiobooks. Do you offer
volume discounts?
One quick path to confidence is to click on our
samples. But if
you want to know how your book will sound, mail us a copy, or
e-mail us an excerpt of your most challenging material. We'll return a
five-minute sample, absolutely free.
We don't need a bound copy to produce the recording. We can work off
galley proofs, PDF files, word processing documents, etc. We ask only
that it isn't hand-written. If we can print it, we can record it.
Production time depends chiefly upon the book's length, but we can turn
around most projects in six to eight weeks. If you need it done sooner,
contact us for
a rush job assessment and we'll do our very best.
We'll address these issues in early conversations, and handle it however
you choose. We can simply skip items (such as photo captions), refer
listeners to the printed text ("see the diagram on page 262"), or
paraphrase information as clearly as possible (relying upon our
editorial judgment). Ultimately the decision is yours.
Texts in Audio provides estimates at no charge. Send a copy of your text
to the mailing address on our
contact page,
or provide us with a word count. We'll get back to you within two
business days.
We offer a 10 percent discount for multiple projects if ordered
simultaneously. If you order a second book six months later, we will
charge the full rate, but you're assured the same rate as your previous
project under our
Loyalty Guarantee.
